К вопросу о первом мусульманском кладбище Петербурга в XVIII в. // Вестник МГУ. История. – 2016. – № 4. – C. 18-30.
History of St. Petersburg cemeteries in the 18th century (especially in its first half) is an important yet not well studied topic. Information about the city’s cemeteries allows us to deepen our knowledge about the boundaries of St. Petersburg. In its turn, data about funeral rites helps to understand the attitude towards an individual in the period under review. Of particular interest are cemeteries intended for the burial of members of religious minorities. A small but noticeable Muslim community (about 600–700 persons of both sexes at the end of the 18th century) lived in St. Petersburg from the first years of its existence. Comparing various sources of information, the author of this article makes an attempt to establish the location of cemeteries where Muslims of St. Petersburg were buried in the 18th century.
